Champagne Vauversin
The domaine can trace its history back to 1640 and a certain Nicolas de Vauversin, vingeron in Oger. Since then 15 generations have followed and in 1930 the Vauversins began producing champagne. Today, they have 3.15 hectares all in the Grand Cru of Oger. The vines are between 10 and 60 years old. The Cuvée Brut Original is 100% Chardonnay from 100% Grand Cru vinyeards of Oger in limestone over chalk soils with eastern exposition. The wine is fermented in tank and goes through malo. The current release is 70% harvest 2011 and 30% harvest 2010 with 8 grams dosage.
