Jeremie Huchet, Muscadet
Jérémie Huchet took over from his father in 2001 and expanded the domaine (which was started with 5ha in 1946) with the purchase of Clos Montys (vines planted in 1914) and Château Thébaud. The domaine has now 38ha in southern and southeastern facing slopes on soils of amphibolite, gneiss, granite, and a particular granite called 'granodirite à biotite' (mica), called "granite of Château Thébaud" which represents only 4% of the soils in Muscadet. The Muscadet is kept on its fine lees all winter with no racking. The CO2 in the wine permits the wine to keep its primary and secondary aromas and freshness.
